Terms of Use

Last updated: 24 November 2025
Who we are: Tangows (“Tangows”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates the mobile game Sudoku Lite and related websites, including tangows.com (the “Services”).

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Eligibility & Audience

  • The Services are designed for a mixed audience, including users under 13.
  • If you are under 13, your parent or legal guardian must review these Terms and our Privacy Policy and consent to your use.
  • If you are a parent/guardian, you are responsible for your child’s use of the Services.

2. Privacy

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy (covering what we collect, why, and your choices). Please review it here:

For questions, contact support@tangows.com.

3. Limited License & App Store Rules

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Sudoku Lite for your personal, non-commercial use on a compatible device.

  • You must also comply with the platform’s rules (e.g., Google Play terms, device manufacturer policies).
  • We may update the app automatically; updates are part of the Services and these Terms.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or create derivative works of the app.
  • Use cheats, automation, bots, exploits, or any activity that interferes with fair play or service operation.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Services or data.
  • Upload or share unlawful, harmful, or infringing content.
  • Use the Services in violation of applicable laws or these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

5. In-App Purchases, Ads & Children’s Experience

Monetisation. Sudoku Lite may include advertising and optional in-app purchases (IAP) such as “Remove Ads”.

  • Remove Ads disables third-party ad display within the app’s normal gameplay surfaces. It doesn’t retroactively remove ads you already viewed and may not affect third-party content or external links. Some limited operational messages or cross-promotions may still appear (non-ad).
  • Prices are shown in-app and processed by the app store (e.g., Google Play). Tangows does not collect or store your full payment details.

Children’s experience. Because the app is used by children and families, we configure ads to deliver non-personalised, age-appropriate content and follow the platform’s Families policies. See our Privacy Policy for details on ad partners and choices.

Refunds. App-store purchases are subject to the store’s refund rules in your region. Where permitted by law, purchases are final. This does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (see Section 10).

6. Virtual Items & Progress

The app may include virtual features (e.g., hints, achievements, daily challenges). Virtual items have no real-world monetary value, are non-transferable, and may be modified, limited, or discontinued. We do not guarantee availability or retention of virtual items or progression, including after updates or device changes.

7. Content & Intellectual Property

The Services (including code, art, audio, text, and trademarks) are owned by Tangows or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited license in Section 3, no rights are granted. Do not use our names, trademarks, or assets without prior written permission.

If you submit feedback or suggestions, you grant Tangows a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable license to use them without obligation or attribution.

8. Third-Party Services & Links

The Services may display third-party ads or link to third-party sites/services. Those are controlled by third parties, not Tangows. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Review their terms and privacy policies before engaging.

9. Availability, Updates & Support

We may add, change, or remove features and may suspend or terminate the Services in whole or part. We aim for smooth performance but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

For support, contact support@tangows.com (include device model, OS version, and app version).

10. Consumer Guarantees (Australia) & Disclaimers

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantees, rights, or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) that cannot be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law and subject to the ACL:

  • The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.”
  • We disclaim all warranties (express or implied) regarding merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
  • We do not warrant the Services will be error-free or that defects will be corrected.

If the ACL applies and the Services are not of acceptable quality, you are entitled to remedies as set out in the ACL. Where lawful, our liability is limited, at our option, to re-supplying the Services or paying the cost of re-supply.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law and subject to Section 10, Tangows and its affiliates, officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for: (a) indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; (b) loss of profits or data; (c) claims related to access/use or inability to access/use the Services; even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

12. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Services (including progression/items) if you violate these Terms, create risk, or if we discontinue the Services. On termination, your license ends and you must stop using and uninstall the app. Sections that by nature should survive (e.g., IP, disclaimers, limitation, governing law) survive termination.

13. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version with the “Last updated” date above. Material changes may be highlighted in-app or on our website. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland and the Commonwealth of Australia.

If your local law grants you mandatory consumer protections that conflict with this Section, those protections still apply.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any app-store terms that apply to your acquisition of the app, constitute the entire agreement between you and Tangows regarding the Services and supersede prior understandings regarding the same subject matter.
